  1. TWILIGHT!!!!!!

  2. Depends on what you are interested in...but if you like a little bit of a challenge and are interested in racial issues try Roll of Thunder Hear Me Roar

  3. Try Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. There are a lot of books in the series, and there's something for everybody. I recommend starting with one of these titles:

    Soul Music

    Hogfather

    Carpe Jugulum

    Moving Pictures

    Guards! Guards!

  4. Little Brother - by Cory Doctorow

  5. A fascinating biography that is getting great reviews is "Ibn al-Haytham: First Scientist" by Bradley Steffens. It tells the inspiring, true story of a medieval Muslim scholar who overcame bouts of mental illness to develop the scientific method two hundred years before the Europeans learned of it—by reading his books. The author just received the Theodor S. Geisel Award for the best book published by a San Diego County author last year. You can find reviews of the book and a sample chapter at http://www.ibnalhaytham.net/ Enjoy!

  6. These are some really good books that I've read and thoroughly enjoyed:

-the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud*****

-the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer*

-The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen(any book by her)

-Hawksong(series) by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes(any book by her)

-The Shannara series by Terry Brooks*****

    -Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

    -Watership Down by Richard Adams

    -Great Expectations by Charles Dickens*

-Warrior Cats series by Erin Hunter

-The Counte of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas*

-The Princess Bride by William Goldman*

    -Discworld series by Terry Pratchet*****

    -Battle Royale by Roushun Takami*****

-Angels and Demons by Dan Brown

*s are the ones I really REALLY recommend for anyone to read, and the ones with five *s are the best books I've ever read in my life!!!!

  7. Son of the Mob by Gordon Korman (funny)

All of the Adventures books by Korman as well if you like adventure stories.

Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Mikaelsen (just really good)

    Anything by Gary Paulsen (adventure/outdoors)

La Linea by Ann Jaramillo (immigration, serious)

The Chocolate War by Robert Cormier

The Schwa Was Here by Neal Shusterman (hysterical, personal favorite)

Anything by Chris Crutcher (sports, school issues, etc)

As a librarian, I would consider all of these books to be "good".

  9. Hi,

  10. Nick of Time by Ted Bell

    Pendragon series

    Something by Jack London

One of the classics: Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Kidnapped, Gulliver's Travels

  11. I don't know what exactly is meant by "entertaining" (hopefully your dad doesn't mean he wants you to read fluff, but the good stuff can be entertaining too), and, although I am 14, I am also a girl, while you are a guy, which means a lot of the stuff I read probably wouldn't appeal to you, but here's what I can come up with:

    Deadline, by Chris Crutcher

His Dark Materials series, by Phillip Pullman

The House of the Scorpion, by Nancy Farmer

    Dragonhaven, by Robin McKinley

    classics:

    Fahrenheit 451, by Ray Bradbury

A Separate Peace, by John Knowles

Lord of the Flies, by William Golding

Almost anything by Shakespeare, but The Tempest is my favorite.

  12. Like The Mediator Series By Meg Cabot Is Really Good

    1. Shadowland (2000)

    3. Reunion (2001)
