What good books or videos can you recommend for someone who is planning to become a hermit?

Soon I'LL BE A HERMIT! Not real soon.. but maybe in matter of months. I'm considering Alaska, but don't know exact area I want to go yet. Somewhere, where nobody will care if a trespass. Is there any advice/books/videos you can recommend to me that can help me prepare for my journey?

"Into The Wild."  I'm sure you have heard of it.  It was also made into a movie recently.  The main character in the book gets rid of all his things including burning his money and then travels the US.  He winds up dying in the Alaskan wilderness trying to live off the land for several weeks.
