While I don't know which shops are the best, a good idea would be to go to a newsagents and buy a "computer trader" newspaper. THere will be PLENTY of  computer shop advertisements, plus (personal) wanted and sale ads and also every weekend they hold a swap meet.

Swap meets are effectively mini-markets for computers and computer related products.  Often the tables are locals who sell computers and computer parts or games, or local computer businesses. There are also a few bigger computer shops that set up in/at each swap meet location.

Swap meets are held at two seperate locations each saturday and each location holds a swap meet about once per month. They are usually held in a town hall. From memory, I know they are held at Malvern and Springvale. I think there is one in Collingwood. I don't remember any other locations.

I'm not 100% certain on the times and locations though. I may be wrong.
