What good do mosquitoes do?

all they seem to do is bug me. but do they actually have good purpose to the environment?

they kill lots of people cutting down on the worlds over population problem

Every creature on this earth has a purpose. They have been created for a reason, reasons which are we yet to realize.

So mosquitoes are for -

1. Pollination

2. Food for other animals.

3. In future who knows scientists might discover something potential from them which will benefit human kind.

Like the way they fly may provide some technology for flying, the way they use their senses to find food & shelter etc.

they are food for almost everything.  "birds, frogs, spiders, bats, ect."  without mosquitos you lose all those, then they're predators and so on.

also, this may sound bad but, they spread disease.  disease is part of nature and natural selection.  If a species isn't adapted for the spread of viruses then they die.
