What good is the Supreme Court?

I do not think the supreme coyrt is doing a good job defining the constitution!

  1. It throws a wrench into the schemes of the Administration and Congress


  2. It often gets to make the final decisions on issues that the executive and legislative branch have wrestled with for years or even decades. We may not always agree with them, but someone has to eventually decide such issues.

  3. It "defines" the constitution when issues arise like the right to bear arms. Also they are the highest court in the land and you can appeal your case to them if you feel you where treated unfairly. They are very important. The problem is when a president appoints stupid judges that allow abortion etc.

  4. They are meant to interpret the Constitution and they do.  That's what good they are.  They aren't meant to follow the vagaries of politics and for the most part, they don't.

  5. It is a living grave yard for lawyers that can't make it in the real world
