I am afraid of spiders and I recently saw the movie arachnophobia. I was wondering what was the best living conditions that would minimize the possibility of spiders from coming to my dorm at school or at my home? Most helpful for desert conditions b/c I live in Arizona.

  1. I went to school in Phoenix and I forgot all about spiders when I saw the cochroaches(sp) anyways...vacuum alot and keep things away from walls, especially in corners.

  2. Spiders like dark cool places (hard on em in Arizona) but they like garages, little nooks and crannies.  Also, I live in California, and at my last house we had a lot of trees really close to the front door, and I had spiders under my awning almost always.  Also be careful of some spiders who will get into your shoes in the closet.

  3. Keep insects out, spiders come to eat insects, no insects, no spiders. They wont hang around where there is nothing to eat.

  4. i vaccum my ceiling corners and edges.
