What good questions/topics to help get conversations started?

I run a crochet group on yahoo groups, and things have been kind of quit the past week. What do you all think might be a good topic/question I could post to help get some posting going? It does not have to be crochet related.

Well you can ask all sorts of questions.

For example:

- What is your favorite book/movie/song/actor etc.

- What did you want to be when you grew up?

- What was your favorite childhood tv-show?

- What was your most embarrassing moment?

All those kind of things usually get a convo started because people will be reminded of stuff when reading other people's comments.

And if all else fails you can always start a thread that says: what would be a good topic to get the conversation going in a crochet yahoo group?
