Manhattan is a shoppers paradise, I've shopped there for the last 17 years and am still finding new stores. There's Macy's and Bloomingdale's these are a must, for a bargain there's Century 21 - opposite Ground Zero, which you MUST visit - you could shop literally till you drop and can buy anything your heart desires. Look out for the thrift shops, they are akin to our pawnbrokers where the jewellery is practically given away, even if you went to the diamond quarter still a lot cheaper then UK.

If you have time take an excursion to one of the retail outlet parks, 1,000 times better than the ones here.

Make sure you go to Canal Street just for the experience.  It is  fun.  And don't miss Little Italy or Greenwich Village.  The train system can take you all across the city in a matter of minutes, so don't think something is too far away from you just by looking on a map.  You can go anywhere in a matter of minutes. Have a great time!  NYC is my favorite day trip ever!

loads of shops. Big department stores like bloomingdales macys saks etc.all the usual gap h &m on every corner nearly. footlocker, lush abercrombie and fitch. forever young. There is a big outlet village you can get a bus to which is worth goin to i think its called woodbury common or something. All the designer shops are there too like louis vuitton dkny prada gucci etc. Also go big toyshop fao schawz its great!

there is Saks and Macys and Prada, its all on 5th avanue, Macys is like the best cuz it has all these old esclators and it has a different floor for kids,shoes,shirts,pants etc. Have fun in nyc!!!!
