What good stuff do you use too clarify and control alge in a pool?

My pool is really unclarifyed and lots of alge keep on growing

in it.I already put in alge control and clarifyer but it didn't hel.WHAT DO I DO!?

You'de think the snooker part of the title would clue people in that this is not a section for swimming pool questions. Nor is it a section for video/online games, but for snooker and/or pool related questions. Since it doesn't seem to deter people from asking anyway, maybe this will do the trick.
