What good video editing programmes are there?

I just started making little videos using windows movie maker! it allows me 2 do quite alot of simple, easy things to the videos but i was wandering if any1 knows another programme that is free 2 download from the internet that will allow me 2 do more wit my vids! like rewind certain clips but play them 4wrd if tht makes sense and use multiple different sound clips at once! and blend clips together and all tht kinda stuff! so nothing really really experienced but just so i can do more wit them then i can at the mo! thx! x

Or you may try this all-in-one video editor, my friends recommend it to me, it's not free, but it's easy to use and works pretty well for me, it embeds many special effects. I had made a video with it and the video got award, that's pretty cool.
