Question:

What good would come out of giving amnesty to illegals?

I came over here legally and if this happens, many, many legal immigrants will wonder what was the point to all the hard work we put in to become legal citizens of the US. So what good will come to America if we gave Amnesty to illegals?

I know some will say it's selfish to just think about ourselves but hey what makes any other illegal different than me. I had to do the work to become a citizen why can't they?

  1. No good will come out of it. It's a privilege to come to the US and become a citizen. If you can't deal with it, don't come here. When I go to another country, I need to abide by their rules, not make up my own. There's a reason they are called illegals.

  2. Not a darn thing.

Giving amnesty to criminals is a travesty and it wont happen, dont worry.

The American public is 78% against the criminals, and the largest immigration raid in US history this week speaks to the fact that Americans are fed up and demanding action.

  3. The disastrous results of the 1986 amnesty multiplied by 10 or more.

Just as that failure served to encourage more to come, so would another. Considering that they legalized just over 2 million and taking into account the costs of today in comparison, the price would be astronomical and the impact severe.

It is estimated that Americans displaced at work by newly legalized at lower wages cost almost $10 billion dollars in the first 10 years, needing public assistance. Want to see a couple of million more Americans unemployed?

Estimates are the newly legalized drew over $100 billion dollars in the first 10 years in public assistance.

Read the report at the above link, then consider the magnitude of the problem today. Amnesty is a chilling thought.

Secure the border, enforce the laws and deport illegals.

  4. If we create a system which allows people who came into this country illegally, but who have otherwise  been law abiding, hard working people, to become legal residents, not citizens, it would allow us to flush out the people who come to this country illegally, and involve themselves in criminal activity or terrorism.  The problem now is that we don't differentiate between people who come illegally but are otherwise law-abiding, and the people who are criminals once they get here.  People who come here illegally, but follow the laws and don't make trouble should be allowed to stay as legal residents.

Many people who cross the border illegally go through much more than what you went through to get here, walking miles through the dessert, being hunted by the police, etc.  Just think about the trouble you saved yourself by going through legal channels.

  5. You can stick your head in the sand for another 10 years and watch the problem get worse, or you can say the system doesn't work and start over, like Reagan did in 1984.  It used to be possible to marry a foreigner or hire one without waiting 8 years for a visa.  People used to come here to earn some money to take back to their family in Mexico.  Now they bring their family and stay illegally.

We need a guest worker program.  We need faster approval of legitimate applications.  We need to let judges decide who to keep and who to throw out on the spot and not tie their hands with silly formulas that break up families, deny business workers,  and protect people who don't belong

  6. Not much, I guess... if you do it once, then people will come again and you'll have to do it again and again, a vicious cycle. I agree, you should go the legal way.

  7. I think it would lead to one amnesty after another amnesty. There is no one more  amnesty  America will have to  be dictated to ever lasting  amnesty as the  guest worker programs are a complete failure. You have them they come and do not leave when their time is up and thus we start another round of illegal immigration. They do not want to wait  and it cannot be a matter of not affording it when thousands are available for smugglers..They get free medical care, their kids get free breakfasts and lunches and welfare fraud is rampant, when so many freebies are available who wants to take the time to do it legal. Document fraud is condoned and considered  moral as long as you tag it better life you can lie, cheat, steal, you may use as many id's as you want, there is no point in do anything legal when the payoff for illegal is bigger than it is for legal.

  8. Well if your a criminal, it will be rewarding crime, I guess that's good lol.

  9. Its about to happen..............

Are you not aware of The North American Union? (Goggle it). It’s a treaty signed in 2005 that Bush signed that amalgamates US, Canada and Mexico as one country destroying all borders. Your stars and strips are to go as well as the dollar. New currency is called the Newmero (goggle it).  You maybe should be asking why you have not heard of this, you certainly will not hear about it on mainstream media.  Most Americans are unaware of it.

In 20 years time there will be no US, only an area of the only an area of The North American Union. It will become a police state directed by the new world order and the population will have been carefully reduced by 85%.

  10. No good would come of it.

  11. Nothing because you're giving rights to to non citizens. Non citizens have no rights so the only right they get is deportation. They don't pay taxes then they're just taking up space and using all of America's resources.

To live the American Dream you must be american

  12. There would be no good, we tried this when Reagan was in office, but our politicians are gearing up for the North American Union so the elite can have all the power and the rest of us will be peasants.

  13. Nothing good will come out of it!  Reagan did this in 1986 and only 1/3 of those illegally here accepted the "one time" amnesty.  That amnesty was followed by another 6 amnesties.  The same will happen with these 12 - 20 million illegals.  Only 1/3 accepting the amnesty.  The rest do not want to be citizens of this country for the mere fact that they only want to work, get paid, send money home to families, and then eventually return home to live a better life than they originally had if they stayed where they came from.

Besides this only benefits the other countries who declare their own sovereignty from the U.S., but sure as heck does not mind interfering with our policies.

We have more than enough guest worker programs and visas to come legally.  Problem is businesses, employers and AG operations don't want to file for them because it keeps track of who all they have to pay minimum wage, and take out taxes on those they have working for them.

Until all these businesses, employers and AG operations are punished for creating the problem of illegally hiring those who come illegally, this will continue to happen.

P.S.  If people don't already know this, most of the agreements such as NAFTA, and CAFTA have already expired.  The people of the U.S. can force our elected leaders to rewrite those agreements for fair trade and not free trade as they were in the past.  Or shelve them all together.

  14. It's also a very hard work to go to the US illigaly. If you went ligaly to the US it was because you had luck, contacts or an education; but you've got to think in all those people who have lived a misserable life and have never had a single opportunity in their lives. To what point of desperation they had to go through to go to the extreme of risking their lives and living everything behind. Don't be apathic to other's sufferings.

  15. Illegal aliens are coming to this country and taking jobs that would go to American Citizens and at all levels.  I suspect they may be better workers in some cases, but that is not the solution to our work place problems.. it is flat wrong in fact.

But most of the people who come to this country from Latin American are very poorly educated.  Because that is the case, most of them are condemned to menial jobs for the rest of their lives.  Keep in mind English is very difficult to learn and deal with, and it is clearly a requirement to survive in the United States.  So because that is the case, the illegal aliens coming are winding up wards of the state and taking welfare.  They become, then, enormously expensive workers, and this country cannot afford that.

There are other reasons the influx of people is a bad idea, but they are cultural and deal with the environment.  But there is also the problem of the Mexican Government creating bogus reports, and simply thugging the American People in an effort to force us to do their bidding.  There is the issue of the Catholic Church telling us we have to accept the poorest of the poor in Mexico.  There are our own Representatives who are refusing to enforce, or obey, the law.

So I hope you get your way, and I hope you will join us in fighting the people who are so seriously trying to thug us.
