  1. Just what Doc Slaughter said. I've had a pkg(Pink Kissing Gourami) and I've still got one. I'm looking at him right now. They're harmless and fun to watch kiss. They can be bullies to smaller fish. One kisssed my African Frog! And they can grow to 12".

  2. The biggest gourami is probably the Kissing Gourami.  The one I have is about 8 inches long.  However, Kissing gourami and neon tetras do not blend well and neon generally ends up getting killed as they resemble fish babies which are gourami favorites.  I would strongly recommend you to go with pearl gourami as they are the best looking ones and not a threat to tetra.

  3. kisser gouramis

  4. im not 2 sure bout kissing gouramis. i have a fully grown one and i put some tetras in with him a few years ago. They were gone the next day..hehe oops,

  5. What size tank are we talking about here? Generally if the small fish can fit in the big fish's mouth, that's where it will end up. Gouramis are opportunistic predators after all.

A kissing gourami (which gets up to 12") will think of nothing of inhaling a neon.

I wouldn't recommend you go any larger than pearl, opaline or moonlight gouramis. There may still be a risk with these once they are mature. They really need a minimum of a 30-40 gallon tank.

  6. kissing goumies are great tank mates...they are inexpensive and very beautiful as they grow...they need veggie matter to look their best so get some green tetra-min flakes for them and some frozen baby brine shrimp and frozen daphnia for the tetras...   good luck
