What government organizations like the EPA exist?

I'm looking to find a job more on the environmental protection aspect of my degree (Environmental Health and Safety). The EPA does not seem to have any entry level positions.

Its the U.S. government.  You have OSHA, MASHA, and USDA.  I am sure there are upwards to a hundred of these bureaucracies.  What is the reward that you see in work that is generally accepted as non-productive?

All the state versions of EPA will have entry level openings.  They are always looking for new people.  Just go to the website in your state.  Alternatives would be environmental positions in the Corps of Engineers and USGS.
