What gpa/sat/act do I need to get into duke?

Hello, I am a freshman at a well known public high school in Florida. I am taking 6 honors classes plus hope. I am in Geometry for math. Also I have 2 years of spanish done, and I am taking spanish 3 this year. I am also in debate, and the club in which makes the class an honors class. I am expecting to get over a 4.5 gpa throughout high school, and to take alot of clubs. This year I am taking debate and maybe 1 other club, and next year and my junior year I will take National Honor Society. In middle school I won the presidents award, and got a perfect 6 on my qriting fcat, and was in National Junior Honor Society. Also I scored a 99% tile in math and a 5 on the fcat. So what will I need to get into Duke, or other top schools like UM, and what do you recommend me taking throughout my high school years.

You really don't know how well you will do in your classes, or if you will do well on your tests, etc, until you actually take the classes.

You cannot find out now, in your freshmen year, if you well get into a school!  It depends how you do in your classes - honestly freshmen year doesn't matter to alot of schools. Mainly, junior and the first part of senior year matter. You won't know until that part in your high school career if you can get until a school.

I don't know know how you can expect to get a 4.5 in high school without actually being in the classes yourself and taking them. You never know what can happen, no matter how smart you are.

You also don't know how well you will do on your tests, or your admissions essays. So, I'd just say wait a few years and then you'll be able to get a legit answer. It's too early to be able to tell, especially at the beginning of your freshman year!

It will also matter if you are applying in or out of state.
