It depends on when you start school.

I was 17 all throughout my senior year.

I was 17 when I graduated high school!  Depends on when their birthday is. If it is before September 1st, usually they will be seniors. If it's after they will tend to be juinors.

Unless they fail or something, 11th or 12th. The cutoff to enroll in school is December, so some kids have to wait an extra year for kindergarten, so they would be in 12th turning 17. Usually however, you will turn 17 in Junior year or before December of Senior year, and turn 18 during your Senior year or before the December following graduation.
