Question:

What grade level I'm testing at?

I'm currently homeschooled, but thinking about enrolling in a private school for my senior year. I was tested last in 8th grade due to state law, and I was high in everything.

I've since asked my evaluator to test me, and she says she won't because she knows I'm where I should be, and it would be a waste of her time and my money.

I'm still worried about enrolling and being the token dumb kid. Can someone help me find a place online where I could take a basic test to see what level I'm at in different subjects?

  1. You can take the tests that Texas has released and see how you're doing:

I would talk to your parents, rather than just your evaluator.  Perhaps they can talk to her if it's something you really want.

You should have already taken the ACT or SAT if you plan to enroll in college.  If not, you need to take those soon to get a jump on college admissions and scholarships.

Believe me, you *won't* be the "token dumb kid".  Most likely you are more advanced than the others in many ways - especially with knowing *how* to learn, not just *what* to learn.

    Try to relax about it.

  2. Look here and see if there is something you can use.  Your evaluator is wrong to deny you this test.  I would find another person to talk to if she doesn't let you take it.

  3. There's no way to compare yourself to a given private high school.  You seem fine and that's all you're going to get.  If you're nervous, you can brush up on math and science, which are where any weaknesses will show.
