What grade of piano is required to teach?

I am in grade 6, so how many years to I have to go before I can teach?

At least two more years.

You can get away with grade 6 if you're teaching younger kids, but you really need to be grade 8 and above.

To teach professionally you should ideally get the proper certification for music education as well. I'm not sure what that's called though.
