Go into volleyball?

Or does it depend on the school?

I have heard that 6th graders aren't allowed to join a sport.

Well, a student usually should have a 2.0 GPA, which is about a C average, to get into after school sports. They usually have a different team per grade or a combination of two grades, so yes, a 6th grader CAN try out.

Depends on the school.

And um, if you only play YMCA for like 2 springs, you're not likely to beat 10 other players at once. Pretty cocky...

I've been playing since I was 8 years old. I've made my school team every single year I tried out. I practice everyday for at least 4 hours. This summer I did 8 camps, 4-6 hours each day. Two matches every Tuesday and Thursday. Four hours of practice on the weekends. Private lessons for an hour each every Wednesday. Practice during the school season for 4 hours each day. I'm starting on our school team, and we're undefeated so far, a match every Friday, and I'm actually supposed to be in 8TH grade.

Oh, and yes, actually I've done YMCA too, I've done about 5 spring seasons there.

So yeah, you dunno who you're talking to.

It really depends on your school. For example, when I was in middle school we only had 7th and 8th graders (6th graders are in elementary school here), so of course we would not have 6th graders in volleyball. While some schools may allow you to tryout in 6th grade, others may not.

Like someone said, most schools require a 2.0 GPA or above.

It depends on the school, only 7th and  up can play where I live, but if 6th grade is part of middle school then you could try out

And your grades are probably good enough to try out most anywhere

You can join but if you get a F on a report card you sit out for like a week. The time varies depending on the sport.

uhh... actually, at my middle school, the entire middle school could go in volleyball, like the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders... so, i think it just depends on the school
