  1. There's no perfect answer here, as different scholarships will look for vastly different things (such as background, desired program of study, etc). In general, most scholarships will require you to have at least a low "B" average, however (as you know) quite a few of them will be looking for "A" grades.

In short: do your best and aim for the best grades you can manage. The higher your grades, the more opportunities you'll have.

  2. Scholarship applications will look at your overall High School GPA.  So an occasional B or C would be okay, as long as you don't make it a habit over the course of the 4 years.

  3. Different scholarships have different criteria of eligibility. If you' are refering strictly on academic scholarships, there is still no definitive answer to your question. Some academic scholarships demand a perfect 4.0 GPA (overall). Others  require at least a 3.5 GPA. It really depends on which scholarship you are applying for.

But then again, recording high grades will never hurt your scholarship chances so always aim for the highest.

Side note: scholarships are not just limited to academic scholarships. Some scholarships value other unique skills you may possess (playing an instrument, sketching, duck calling, etc.) Other scholarships value participaion in organizations as well as volunteer community service.

Even if you don't have perfect grades, you can still be able to find scholarships that suit your other strengths.

You can talk to your guidance counselor for advice regarding the possible scholarships that you could qualify for.

In addition, you can research online for scholarship offers as well.

  4. no lower than an average of 3.0, and its not only letter grades good score on the SAT
