  2. There were three great civilizations that flourished in Peru.

The CHAVIN civilization was the first great culture in Peru (1000 BC - 200 AD). This culture had profound relationship with the surrounding wildlife and is the biggest Teocratic organization in ancient Peru.

The WARI -TIAHUANACO civilization (500 AD - 1000 AD) was the second great culture, in this case the culture had a military organization and their religious influence was adopted by the Inkas.

The INKA civilization only lasted 130 years ( 1400 AD - 1532 AD) and it's amazing how they surpassed every other culture in such a short period of time. It's a pity that the spaniards destroyed most of their temples and melted down everything that had a piece of gold in it, so we could really appreciate their fulfillments, luckily for humanity, Macchu Picchu stayed intact of the spanish destruction.

  3. The Incas...

  4. Incas.

  5. Well, not only did Peru have the Incas, even though they are the most known, they were powerful in the 15th century. But before the Incas, there were many other cultures across the country like Sipan, Sican, Mochica, Chimú, Moche, Nazca, Chavin, Paracas, Wari, etc. The Incas took power in 1442 by expanding their territory and taking over the other cultures. The Inca imperium was defeated  by the Spanish conquistadors led by Francisco Pizarro in 1572 when the last last ruler, Túpac Amaru, was captured and executed.
