  1. He knocked out Ali, Norton, and Frazier.

  2. Champs: Pinklon Thomas, James "Bonecrusher" Smith, Trevor Berbick, Tony Tucker. Frank Bruno, Bruce Seldon

Former: Larry Holmes (only KO of Holmes career; didnt even get knocked out in his comeback fights well after 40)

Other notables: Quick Tillis, Razor Ruddock. Carl Williams

With the exception of Holmes, all of these were top guys at the time. Also note that the Tyson camp was practically begging both the Holyfield and Lewis camps to fight him before his conviction and prison term. Both declined on more than one occasion.

  3. here we go bashing tyson again in his prime he would of killed most of the heavyweight champions that ever lived you tyson haters just bash him and talk about the end of his career when he didnt have it anymore but i suggest if you didnt see tyson fight in his prime dont talk about him some of you people are a joke

  4. mike tyson was a bad mutha *****. he could beat anyone.

  5. the great larry holmes my smelly friend, holmes has just been inducted into the hall of fame as of this year

  6. Er... Marvis Frazier?

  7. It's pretty funny how the most the Tyson supporters haven't answered the question!  The reason for that is they are still infatuated with him regardless of the fact that he got Ko'd in his biggest fights.

Ali lost via dec to  L. Spinks at 36, then came back and beat him. He was only TKo'd once by Holmes at 38yrs old and it was his corner that stopped the fight. He didn't get Ko'd in the ring.

Tyson was destroyed  by Douglas when he was 24!!!!!! What more of your prime is there? He lost at 30 yrs old to Holyfield! Again by Ko! That is still your prime years! And both Holyfield and Lewis were older than Tyson! And it's not like he simply lost but he got Ko'd! Thats just a fact!

He never got off the canvas to win, and he never avenged a loss. These are more simple facts!

To those that support him, ANSWER THE QUESTION!!

The answer is, he never beat a GREAT fighter, in their prime! He fought two great fighters in their prime, and he got Ko'd twice! I don't think much of his last two losses because he was old and had zero desire. He also lost to Douglas  who by no means was a great fighter!(although he did fight exceptionally that night and completely dominated Tyson)

  8. He beat Berbick, Holmes, Spinx, The Truth.

  9. None. He beat Holmes when he was out of his prime and shouldnt have been fighting, he beat up on the heavyweight division because it was full of bums, whenever he faced A level opponents he lost everytime, Riddick Bowe would have destroyed him, Early and late Lewis would and did destroy him, as well as an early holyfield, he beat no notable fighters, Spinks was undefeated when tyson knocked him out but spink fought bums as well. Tysons name should never be brung up when the greatest fighters ever are being spoken about, he was a circus act, not a great fighter.

  10. Larry Holmes, albeit a faded Larry Holmes.

  11. mitch blood green lol

  12. you cant take anything away from tyson, he was a beast

  13. you can only beat who is there at the time so at his best would give all the great heavyweight a run 4 there money. remmber at his best he tyson  was only a kid who beat  men.   you cant take that a way 21 years world champ at heavyweight.  some will say he was a bum some hate him as your mind is made up. DOLLYBABAY how can you say that he was the catskill coward

if you dont like him ok but have you seen ali or rocky or smoking joe? no so you never seen them so your mind is made up by others as book and videos you mite no you history as most do but how can you say that about him?? yes he had a short span at the top  but you probly never seen him as you was not even born or to small or your dad or grandad did not like him so he told you about this nasty man. how the h**l can you say that??

so is the world wrong and your rigth who only started liking boxing when lewis beat tyson ten years to late.

  14. Doll baby knows her stuff and I'm impressed. Thats right Tyson only fought two great fighters in Lennox and Holyfield. Both laid beatings on him.  Not many people actually know that Tyson paid a couple of million to duck Lennox in his prime, and ducked Holyfield too. Thats the truth...everybody loves the highlight real knockouts, but against mediocre fighters puhlease.

I never believed the hype...and the first time he fought Holyfield. I won 20 bucks from a buddy that i went to school with, die hard tyson fan, but did not know boxing.

Did you ever see the interview footage after his knock out loss to Lennox quote from Mike tyson. "I don't think I could have beat him, now, back then, or ever...he's just too big, to strong, to good, to everything."

He went the distance with razor ruddock twice....lennox Ko'd him in what was it two rounds?

Anybody who thinks Tyson was great...doesn't know their boxing.

Lennox cleaned out the division and then some. This guy was the shaqueel oneil of boxing. Speed, POWER, and highly skilled. If you compare their opponent list you'll see that lennox fought way better opposition and beat every fighter he ever faced.

Tyson is a coward. Rather than take his beating and go out on a shield....he bit Holyfield cause he knew he was going out.

Never a champion in my books....youngest heavy weight champ ya against janitors.

  15. I asked this same question 5 months ago. The reason i did was because I couldn't think of any. Spinks was great but at lightheavy not heavy. Holmes was great but he was 38 and coming out of retirement and he was sporting a belly.

The best fighters he beat in their prime were Tony Tucker and Razor Ruddock. Not exactly all-time greats.

And Dollybaby is correct he fought two other fighters that were outstanding, and both were older than Tyson when they fought. He got KO'd by both Lewis and Holyfield. That and his KO loss to journeyman Buster Douglas were proof that he was more a product of a great marketing scheme by Clayton and Jacobs than a "all-time" great!

  16. Its funny you say this because a lot of people feel that the boxers of the late eighties were better than the heavies we have today, Tyson defeated trevor berbick, bruce seldon, razor ruddock, pinklon Thomas, carl williams and tony tucker all these guys were legit champions and in their primes and had earned their belts although they may not be hall of famers they were all very good and highly respected boxers and if they had fought in today's era they would probably be title holders. Moreover let us not forget that Tyson actually UNIFIED the title something that cannot be said about a lot of heavyweight boxers that came after him (just look at the state of the division today!)

PS In the late eighties lennox did not want anything with Mike tyson and holyfield was still dominating at cruiserweight.

  17. ABSOLUTELY,POSITIVELY,NONE!!!!!!!!!!!! He was a media icon perpetrated by Bill Caton and then later Don King! The ONLY 2 GREAT fighters he ever fought MURDERED HIM!!! Evander Holyfield thrashed him and smashed him unmercifully and Lewis hammered him so badly that Tyson may now actually be a ghost!

Tyson by the way DUCKED BOTH those guys his entire career. In the late 80's during Tyson's "so called" prime,he and his Handlers ducked The Ring Magazine's Universally Recognized number 1 contender Holyfield for 2 years of Tyson's 3 year title "reign"

Holyfield made his final defense of the cruiserweight title in December 87 and immediately moved up to heavyweight and was crowned the number 1 challenger by BERT RANDOLF SUGAR'S "Bible of Boxing"

For 2 full years in the LATE 80'S following December 87 Tyson and his people avoided The Real Deal like the plague!

Then during his "comeback" in the mid 90's he and his handlers ducked the number 1 contender Lennox Lewis. This time Tyson was actually STRIPPED of the WBC belt for ducking Lennox!

Tyson ACTUALLY opted to lose his title rather than to be a man and face the number 1 contender! Talk about cowardly!

We know why he ducked both of those superior pugilists!

We also all know now of course why The small, frightened little "fighter" from the catskills NEVER fought ANY great fighters!

When the highlight of your "so called" prime is beating up Leon Spinx's petrified little brother, there's a SERIOUS PROBLEM with your resume!!!

Mike Tyson is not only without question the most overrated fighter in history, but the "Catskills Coward" is perhaps the most overrated athlete PERIOD!

He was a peek a boo fighter alright!!!

Run and hide while making millions!

    WHAT A SHAM!!!

  18. When did Frank Bruno become champion? Any way Mike Tyson was a great fighter lets get that straight he beat everyone they put in front of him he is the youngest heavy weight champion in the history of boxing

  19. tyson beat everyone they had to offer everyone...please dont say he ducted anyone because he didn't...yes he lost to holyfield and lewiss but that was at the end of his career alot of great fighters got their *** whopped out of their prime (joe louis, ali) so please understand that a time comes when you lose and lose bad....dont forget he is the YOUNGEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION EVER.....and would of knocked out anyone you know and i know when he was only 18, 19 ,20....stop it Tyson was a beast he use to have cats in their crying ....

  20. Evander "The Real Deal Holyfield!  Oh, wait it says "beat", i thought it said "eat", my bad.
