  1. death proof is way better it was funny as heck because it doesnt take the same route as other movies the killer had the wrong ones this time

  2. i liked death proof better.

  3. both are really good. and they're compleeetely different movies.

one's a "slasher" flick w/ cars instead of knives.

and the other's a good ol' fashioned zombie gore movie.

    watch them back to back.

start with death proof (you'll thank me).

in the theatres they played planet terror first and i got kinda bored with death proof.

but death proof is soooooo good!

    definitely watch planet terror last.

  4. I loved both! I personally think "Death Proof" is the better film overall. That film was great mainly because of the dialogue, Quentin Tarantino is an excellent writer and the movie is just written so well. But in terms of sheer entertainment value, "Planet Terror" wins. It's cheesy and doesn't take itself seriously and is just fun. A lot of people found "Death Proof" to be boring because it is mostly dialogue, but its some of the best dialogue you will ever come across.

  5. Death Proof by a mile. I thought it was really funny and love the second action-packed part. Planet Terror bored me senseless. My bf agrees with me completely on this one.

  6. I love Planet Terror because even thought its a zombie movie, Rodriguez wrote the characters so that you can understand their interactions with others in the movie, and so you begin to feel for them, and you want to them to make it through the night (although my favorite does not). It features some amazing action sequences, and enough comedy to keep the movie from taking itself too seriously.

Being a huge Tarantino fan, i love Death Proof. I cant say its better than Planet Terror, but its right up there next to it. The main problem with Death Proof is the fact that the first set of girls are so unlike Tarantino's other characters, these are the first of his characters who i did not like, especially Pam. I thought that that character was the worst hes ever written, and cast. It just takes too long to get into the action, but i do love the first kill. The second set of girls are very likable, and the car chase scenes are brilliant.

All in all, id say it all depends on what kind of mood you are in, and whose style of writing and directing you prefer. Even though i prefer Tarantino over Rodriguez, I have to choose Planet Terror over Death Proof. But watching them together as Grindhouse is something that more people should have done.
