Just thinking about the number of questions on the topic by various individuals.

Importantly there is nothing in this question to suggest that I have a preconception, notion, or opinion regarding the answer.

  1. Christians. Atheists dont believe in an afterlife so why would they ponder it?

    Im a christian.

  2. Once you accept that the idea of an afterlife is preposterous.

then you get on with enjoying the short life that you have.

  3. We look forward to it :)

  4. I would guess Christians.

  5. Atheists because christains don't have to think about where their going but thats all atheists do is wonder

  6. What afterlife? *wanders off for coffee*

  7. Atheists.  True Christians don't ponder the afterlife, because we KNOW where we're going.

  8. I have a hard thinking about what's after dinner.

  9. Neither. Christians know where they are going and Atheists figure it's all over once you die.

  10. Well, since atheists don't believe in an afterlife I don't see how they would ponder it.

  11. Come on! Any atheist who ponders the afterlife is not really an atheist.

  12. as an atheist, i don't think about it.

  13. Why would atheists ponder the afterlife? Most of them are extreme materialists. To them, afterlife has as much meaning as beforelife, or besidelife, or overlife, or underlife.

  14. If you think that observations of R&S are an accurate cross section of people in the real world you would be delluding yourself.

If the answer isn't christians I would think that they are faling in your obligations as a theist, wouldn't you?

  15. Christians, because they believe in a afterlife

  16. I can't think of any reason atheists would ponder an afterlife.  Those who don't believe in God are not going to believe in an afterlife, either. Christians would spend more time pondering it because they believe in it.

Or maybe I misunderstood your question.

  17. i would have to say christians. i tried to be a believer but for many reasons i am not, but i think it is a waste of time in this life you definitely have now, preparing for what might happen when you die.

  18. When I was an Atheist, I had many nightmares about dying and trouble sleeping. I was very consumed by the horror of dying, the feeling of pain, and being scared of the unknown.

After I received Jesus as my Savior when I was 19, my nightmares went away and now I have no problems sleeping.

When I received Jesus as my Lord, almost 20 years later, I ponder on Heaven a lot and I look forward to dying because I know where I am going and who waits for me.

  19. Christians tend to be the ones wasting this life worrying about what to do when you're dead.

Atheists realize that when you're dead, you're dead.  Past that, there's not much to think about.  This allows us to use more of the time we have while we're here.

  20. I would have to say that Christians do. I mean, if you are an antheist you are stating that you definitively "know" that neither God nor some Higher Power/Spiritual Entity exists. How in the world could an athetist believe in any type of afterlife if they deny that the spiritual exists?

  21. Since I don't believe in an afterlife, I spend no time thinking about it.

And, wouldn't asking a question about it...

  22. I would haft to say atheists ponder the least since we focus more on the here and now and how we should live our lives to the fullest extend, enjoying every minute of it.

  23. My dog, Christian.  He's constantly sitting there, l*****g his butt, and wondering what's after this life... and after dinner.

But as for extrapolating that out to a gross generalization like "WHAT GROUP"... I can't do that.  Christian will start growling at me if I try!

    Have a blessed day.
