What gun to U.S. military snipers use?

Does anyone know what sniper rifle U.S. Marine snipers use today??

Oh, Marines? You said US military. In my unit in the Army back in the early 90s, whose location will remain nameless, we used the Gepard M1 Hungarian sniper rifle. Absolutely beautiful weapon. Not sure what the Marines use or what the standard Army issue is.

Oh, and it's "rifle" not "gun". :)

They use the Barret M82 .50BMG for long range.They also use a M24 which is a modified Remington 700 or R700 and the round they choose is the 7.62x51mm NATO which is the military version of the .308win.
