I will be clinging to a .270 Remington Semi Auto

A pursuit LT .50 muzzle loader.

  1. If I get to the woods this year, since living in California the deer are generally to small to be worth hunting, I'll carry my Ruger Vaqero in .357 Magnum, I'm well practiced with this gun and to 100 yards are so can drop a deer clean with fixed sights. Otherwise I'll throw slugs into my 12ga Semi automatic with slugs. This gun is good for about 150 yards I'd say with premium slugs. Rule of thumb, use what ever you shoot best that will be what you bag the most deer with. If it is a .243 or a 7mm-08 then use that and keep the bigger rifles for hunting larger game.  Happy Hunting

  3. my dads marlin 336 c stock with a 3x9x32 tasco scope my uncle dons rare model 760 game master with a leupold scope i forgot which one but it cost about 700 bucks back in 1976 my grandfather lee enfield mk3 with a custom walnut stock made by my dad estimated value around 2500$ topped with a leupold gold ring scope which are almost impossible to find and they can go for as much as 1200 bucks now my dads rem model 1100 12 ga. 2 3/4 inch using slugs (buckshot is unethical and illegal in the states i hunt in) and thats it for rifles and a pse x-force and matthews drenalin 2 bow and for handguns my dads sw mod 629 44 magnum using iron sights

  7. I don't know about clinging to it, but my Remington 700 Sendero .25-06 will be on the sling and travelling with me for most of the season. It's good out to about 350 yds. and I've been using it for about 10 years. If I get the chance after that big buck falls I may cull a doe or two with my 6.5 inch Ruger Black Hawk 50th Anniversary .44 mag. It's always fun to get in close.

  13. For the whitetail season in Texas its the Ruger MKII 25-06. For Mule deer its the Ruger 7mm Mag in their M77 light weight composite. And for this years elk and brown bear hunt its the Ruger stalker in 338 win mag. Did I mention I like Ruger products......

  17. I live in PA, and this year, I'll have my CVA .50 caliber magnum for muzzleloader. For the youth season, I'll have my K98 8mm Mauser with me, and for opening day, I'll have my Savage 30-06.

  18. Weatherby 30-06. I got a deer last year in one shot at 339 yards!! I also brought down an antelope just this past weekend. I love that gun! My boss gave it to me and he bought it in the 70's. It's beautiful!!
