My coach teaches non-competitive gymnastics. She taught me how to do an aerial before teaching me a backhandspring. Is an aerial harder than a backhandspring?

  1. personally as a 12 year old i think that an aerial is easier than a back handspring. back flips and handsprings are higher levels as aerials are in the same category as cartwheels and roundoffs. dont get me wrong an aerial is very good and it took my months to land mine. keep working! = ]

isnt this a GOOD ANSWER? lol

  2. My daughter learned how to do her aerial in level 5, but you need to have your back handspring plus many other skills for level 4. I do think that an aerial is harder.

  3. i think it depends what else you can do from the level 5 variety of skills. if you can't do some things in level 4 i'd say you were still level four :)

  4. you would be level 5. an aerial is way harder than a back-handspring. i have my full and i can't even do an aerial!
