supply and demand!

Americans are the main consumers of legal and illegal drugs around the world!!!!!!!!!!!

For the mean time drug traffickers are operating with impunity and trafficking cocaine from Colombia via Venezuela, via Cuba to Florida, USA. They are fighting with drug traffickers and mafia mobs operating in the Pacific west coast ( Mexican, Colombian, Italian and Russian mafias)!

Americans import:

Cocaine from Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador

Heroin and Marijuana from Mexico and Afghanistan

Dope from Canada, Nepal or Jamaica

Meth, crystal and other synthetic drugs made in USA

Ecstasy from Netherlands

Chinese opium, etc etc etc...

from all parts of the world!

  1. Made Osama Bin Laden rich beyond belief, he's had control of Heroin smuggling for quite some time, and has been able to finance his arms operation, he gets money from the states and buys weapons off russian gun runners.

  2. well all i can tell you is that the war against drugs is just an illusion and that your government and every other government is involved in it as much as they can. think of afganistan for example. they have afion there raised on thousands of acers and the us military is just leaving it alone, not burning it

  3. Drug is a big business and big money is involved.

t is a coherent system closely linked to the expansion of modern capitalism and based on an association of three partners: governments, transnational corporations and mafias. Business is business: financial crime is first and foremost a market, thriving and structured, ruled by supply and demand."

    About Clinton

"The Clinton Administration took care of all that wasted travel for heroin with the 1998 destruction of Serbia and Kosovo and the installation of the KLA as a regional power. That opened a direct line from Afghanistan to Western Europe and Brown and Root was right in the middle of that too. The Clinton skill at streamlining drug operations was described in detail in the May issue of FTW in a story entitled "The Democratic Party's Presidential Drug Money Pipeline." That article has since been reprinted in three countries. The essence of the drug economic lesson was that by growing opium in Colombia and by smuggling both cocaine and heroin from Colombia to New York City through the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico (a virtual straight line), traditional smuggling routes could be shortened or even eliminated. This reduced both risk and cost, increased profits and eliminated competition."

    About Bush

"The relationships between key institutions, players and the Bushes themselves suggest that under a George "W" administration the Bush family and its allies may well be able, using Brown and Root as the operational interface, to control the drug trade all the way from Medellin to Moscow."

  4. Only part of the US government is actually fighting drugs. The CIA uses cocaine and heroin to help fund covert operations that Congress will not or cannot legally fund.

For a person on the street, the main impact of the "drug war" is to keep the black market healthy and strong, such that the prices of street drugs keeps declining while the potency keeps going up. In effect, the "war on drugs" has been the junkies' best friend!

  5. Absolutely nothing, except throwing money away on interdiction, prisons, and invasions of other countries like Colombia

  6. It is a war that is not being won and Bush has sold us out

  7. The title itself is laughable: War on Drugs.  I mean, you can't fight with inanimate objects.   Instead, they use it as a shield to cover up who the real war is on: minorities caught up in a cycle of hopelessness due to years of repression.

  8. More black men in prison. More prison built, more prison guards employed, more cops on the street.

  9. Like the war on poverty.

We still have poor and liberals have no exit plan nor are there calls to give up in hopes it will go away.

As long as their is demand someone will supply it.
