  1. Well, if you believe in science, not God, you could suggest something like this.

    The universe was nothing. Eventually, particles- dark matter, dark energy, and everything else- colidided together and eventually formed the universe.

    But no one really knows how the universe formed or what happened before it was formed. It's just whatever you chose to believe.  


  2. Before creation the Void got restless and decided to Be.

    After creation there were a few 100 000 thousand years of turmoil before the universe became scattered enough for photons to be created. Before that the universe was opaque.

    And , yeah - it had to cool down...
