What hand signs do u show when u see fellow bikers on the road coming in the opp directions?

hand on your thigh or no sign back are negative gestures

In England I'd say most of us nod to each other, except to scooters and mopeds, this is because they are usually ridden by 16 year olds lads with just a helmet for protection and ride like idiots.

Obviously none of the answerer's thus far have spent much time outside of the US. In Europe if you were to wave at everyone on a 2 wheeled vehicle you would endanger yourself and others not to mention look like a fool!

I give the peace sign but I just point it out at the side and shake it once or twice. It just means hey man enjoy your ride and stay safe.

I would say if someone gave you a hand signal, give the same one back, but that is depending on what hand signal they give you.

Also remember that some cultures have different meanings so what may be fine in one culture, may be an insult in another.

I just hold out my left arm at about a 45 degree angle toward the ground and extend two fingers (the peace sign).  The majority of bikers around here do the same.  Some have waves, other gestures, but all are in good taste and mean the same.  A few don't do anything.  I just call them an a** h*** under my breath, forget them, enjoy my ride and look forward to seeing the next biker.
