  1. my bf is a riverside sherriff (california), they don't have a standard brand of gun you must use, but they do have a list of approved guns you may use. a lot of the officers do have glocks though...

it just varies on where you are and their policies.

  2. Depends on the Department........Some use the Glock....Some the Sig or HK.....some leave the gun to the discreation of the officersas they make them get their own...AS is the case where I work.....as far as caliber.....departments that sully them usually go either .40 or .45 and a few still use the 9mm....me I carry a .45 Glock..very reliable and can take abuse....

  3. i think your right about the glock...they use tasers too... hurts lol

  4. Different agencies use different handguns.

Yes, Glock is a very popular handgun in police departments because of it's reputation for reliability, ease of use, and safety.

  6. Depends on the department. There is no "national" firearm. Glock is the most common, but Beretta, Springfield, Sig, Taurus, Smith and Wesson, ect all have shares of the business.

  7. Every agency is different.

The ones in my area use Glock 22s, a .40 caliber weapon.

  8. Every dept. is different, but we use the Glock 21 .45 cal.

  9. Ones that shoot REAL bullets

  10. It is up to each individual department and often each officer within the department as long as certain parameters are met. Things like caliber, sometimes barrel length etc. There is no set standard.

  11. There is no set standard for firearms in the USA. There are so many agencies and everyone has different policies regarding firearms. Its up to the agency. Glocks are common, Sig Sauers, and Smith and Wesson are popular too.

  12. I think it's all machine guns and tasers now.
