Due to personal experience with both, I would recommend a Palm OS device with Olivetree.com Bible Software(2).

I've included the Palm site(1), but be aware of the fact that there are other brands running the Palm OS platform for you to choose from. Your choice of device will depend on your level of proficiency. My view is (if you've got the money): why get just a phone, when you can have a palm-top computer too?

Prices are going to be rather customizable. The Bible software will include the main reader program(4), and then you can select "Pre-Selected Collections" or build your own(5).
