What hapens if i get stoped and i have no license but i have a permit?

i have my permit but no license..what happens if i get cought by the cops...i live in the state of illinois

Consider yourself very lucky to have at least your permit. I was stoped by a cop a week ago...long story short, i was driving with no license! so you are lucky to have your permit, i have to go to the dmv now to take my writting test and hoping i pass it. So a great advice, DO NOT drivie without your license

They would check to see if your permit is valid and make sure that the person sitting in the passenger seat has a valid license and has had it for at least three years.  If not, your screwed.  Otherwise you have nothing to worry about.

I live in Iowa, I have friends in Illinois that say the driving laws such for young people.  Apparently Blogovich thought they need to much stricter.  I think any mark on your driving record while under 18 means you cannot get a liscense until so many months after you turn 18.  My friend who is a resident of Illinois but goes to school at a university in Iowa got a underage drinking ticket(not driving, just had possession of alcohol, not uncommon at U of Iowa) and he lost his liscence until he is 21 in Illinois because of a small infraction in Iowa.  Do not risk it, you will regret it the next three years.

This happened about a month ago to my friend Natilie who is 18 but only has her permit.

She was arrested and taken down the police station and now she cannot get her license until she is 21.

We live in Arizona though but I would expect something similar in Illinois.
