  1. if it,s designed to run on premium and you run it on normal unleaded  it.ll coff an spit and carry on run rough you,ll get pre igniting when you shut it down ,best to stay on premium

  2. I owned a golf 1990 cl 1.3 fuel injector , is the OXYGEN SENSOR important for it to reduce fuel

  3. Use what the manual reccomends for gas.  If premium is reccomded and you use regular the engine may experience predetonation, or knock, which is very harmful.  New engines, however, have sensors to detect this and should adjust the timing to prevent it.  So...if the car is new it shouldn't hurt the engine, but personally, I wouldn't do it.  The price difference is so small it is really not worth it.

  4. The more expensive premium is supposed to be cleaner and better refined with less garbage in it. So you will get a lesser amount of compression, it will also build up more junk in your fuel filter, get slightly worst mileage, lesser performance, make the engine run rougher.

In theory usually has very little to do with it. However over a longer period of time will notice the difference, especially build up of carbon and garbage in engine. Would help to through a letter of methylated spirits in with every tank full of fuel to to help break it all up and displace it a little.

  5. Premium fuel has a higher octane rating than regular ULP expressed as a RON number ( Research Octane Number). The approximate numbers for premium would be about 97 and 91 for ULP.

In simple terms the higher this number is, the more resistant the fuel is to knock or detonation. This is when the fuel explodes instead of burning rapidly as it's supposed to.

So you can see now that if you use a fuel that has a RON too low for your car you run the risk of damaging your engine from detonation and exploding fuel.

The simple thing to do is follow the manufacturers recommendations.

  6. yes probaly it is dangerous to use anything which is not recommended as your engine can blow up dont know why!?!? but my mechanic told me this. so i wouldnt try the cheap one if i were you!!! :)
