What happen if ill left my laptop in stand by inside of my handbag? ?

i want to know, if is good or bag...could it get damage?

Standby or suspend or sleep or whatever it's called shouldn't cause any problems since the only thing that is getting powered is the memory (and that uses very little) with everything else switched off.
