  1. *Plugs her fingers in her ears* La la la LAAA!!! Please don't say he'll change! I love that my 2nd grader still hugs and kisses me each morning before leaving me to finish the school walk. I'd hate to lose my cuddly boy. I know I will eventually, but I'm loving that kissing Mom isn't ewww yet.

  2. I wouldn't go back to middle school for anything! My little brother is 14 and acting like a typical middle school boy. I think my mom must be so ready for him to grow out of it. He'll be sweet again when he goes to college and misses you!

  3. It's testosterone poisoning! (LOL)  Their brains can't handle the increased output.

Give it a couple of years, once he gets to high school he'll mellow out.

  4. Well when Boys are in middle school they realize girls in a different way and feel that if they are sweet then a girl is just going to ignore them (which is so not true)   Boys just need some manly advice. And now your son probably feels older and more in control... Well hope that works a little...coming from a teen girl

  5. they are older, more exposed to much wilder behavior, they are figuring themselves out. testing limits and boundaries. My son will be 3 in july and my stepson turned 12 in february. He is constantly in trouble. just got expelled. I PRAY YOUR CHILD DOESNT END UP LIKE MY STEP SON. i really do.

  6. I can relate!!  My son will be in Middle school next year and I am terrified!!  Good Luck!

  7. it's called puberty ! Kids that age want more independence but still want to be a kid at the same time

  8. As a teacher, I can honestly tell you that when they get to junior high age they are influenced much easier than in elementary school, unfortunately.  The reason being is that 6th, 7th and 8th graders are someone joined in the same school (some good schools have 6th grade in a completely other building...which is awesome!) Anyways...when our kids get around others who are in different grades they are heavily influenced by the older children.  The same goes one when a child reaches high school.  They are influenced more with drugs, s*x, and disrespectful to family.  The best way to counter this is to ALWAYS know what your child is doing every minute of the day at school.  You have the RIGHT to know....especially who your child "hangs" out with...and whether or not they are a part of a "crowd".  Always involve conversation with your child and never ignore anything that comes out of their mouths or actions.  I myself have 3 beautiful child in elementary school who are greatly exceeding in their social and educational lives...and I have the power to make sure that doesnt change! Good luck to you and all us parents out there who can make a difference in the lives of our awesome kids!!

  9. good question. that boy is gone. He will be a wild clown for the rest of middle and high school. good luck .

  10. puberty...hormones....middle school was the worst years of my life because I was and am mature for my age...I was bullied in 7th grade....because I wasn't like everyone else

  11. Oh... don't worry. It's just a phase. I'm in 7th grade and ALL the boys are like that. Pretty soon he'll just go back to being as sweet as he always was.

  12. it`s called puberty

  13. if I can give you any advise.

Always be clam and have a soft voice when you talk to him. I know easier said than done. I found my son snapped back without meaning to. Hormones. It took my awhile to realize some of it he really couldn't help. I always tried to be nice, but firm with him. I always said please and thank you and never told him to shut up. Be firm in your rules. Keep him as busy as you can or he can handle. Sports, music, band, orchestra,  help keep them guided and in less trouble.

  14. Kids are still a lot smarter than adults....example:

"HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO MARRY?"

You got to find somebody who likes the same stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it that you like sports, and she should keep the chips and dip coming.

    Alan, age 10

"WHO ARE YOU GOING TO MARRY?"

No person really decides before they grow up who they're going to marry. God decides it all way before, and you get to find outlater who you're stuck with.

    Kirsten, age 10

"WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET MARRIED?"

Twenty-three is the best age because you know the person FOREVER by then.

    Camille, age 10

No age is good to get married at. You got to be a fool to get married.

    Freddie, age 6

"HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?"

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids.

    Derrick, age 8

"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?"

Both don't want any more kids.

    Lori, age 8

"WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A DATE?"

Dates are for having fun, and people should use them to get to know each other. Even boys have something to say if you listen long enough.

    Lynnette, age 8

On the first date, they just tell each other lies, and that usually gets them interested enough to go for a second date.

    Martin, age 10

"WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?"

I'd run home and play dead. The next day I would call all the newspapers and make sure they wrote about me in all the dead columns.

    Craig, age 9

"WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS SOMEONE?"

    When they're rich.

    Pam, age 7

"AT WHAT AGE DO YOU THINK YOULL GET MARRIED?"

The law says you have to be eighteen, so I wouldn't want to mess with that.

    Curt, age 7

"WHEN IS IT THE RIGHT TIME TO MARRY?"

The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone, then you should marry them and have kids with them. It's the right thing to do.

    Howard, age 8

"IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR MARRIED?"

It's better for girls to be single but not for boys. Boys need someone to clean up after them.

    Anita, age 9

"HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?"

There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there?

    Kelvin, age 8

"HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A MARRIAGE WORK?"

Tell your wife that she looks pretty even if she looks like a truck.

    Ricky, age 10

  15. testicles.hormones.

    sorry.

soon he will discover girls and you can get even by showing his girlfriends the naked pics of him as a baby.

  16. Hormones!  And the adolescent struggle for independence (as scary for them as it is aggravating for you).  Somehow, we all survive (well, most of us).
