What happen to the car when engine oil decreases ?

  1. Your engine won't run as smooth and eventually, if you don't add more oil, your engine can seize up, and then say bye bye to your engine

  3. DECREASE - as in low level?

    For a while it makes no difference.  But when the level is low enough, then it is possible for the oil pump to pump air instead of oil.

    Also if you have 1/2 the oil, that oil is doing the job of full amount (twice the amount).  So the oil needs to

    (a) cool

    (b) wash away metal filing

    (c) suspend dirt

    (d) neutralize acidity

    And little bit of oil can only do little bit of work.
