Vince mcmahon is just taking time off. When he used the accident storyline, it was to end the million dollar mania. They tried to make it realistic by having all the superstars that "dislike" vince run to his rescue, such stars as HHH (his son in law) Cena, and Edge. He doesnt have an official return date yet but to clear things up he`s just taking time off  from television.

It was a storyline tha kind of led to wrestlers making their own matches, "chaos" on RAW, and leading to a new WHC. I don't know why he's still out now, either he's on vacation with the family, or he hasn't been in the mood of giving away a million dollars each week. It CAN lead to a different storyline, but for now it's pretty pointless.. it's like the boy who cried wolf, maybe if he does get hurt it'll be reported, for the countless number of times... "The Man who Almost Looked Forward to His Death."

Maybe he'll return tonight.

Triple H and John Cena were about to have a match. While trying to give away the last of his "Million Dollar Mania", something went wrong with the show. Something fell from the roof and M. McMahon stopped doing what he was doing and just stood there. Then, sparks appeared on the floor that made him fall to the floor and the "Million Dollar Mania" sign fell on him while he was trying to get up.Triple H and John Cena ran to Mr. McMahon to try to help him and the paramedics came soon after that.

Since then, I haven't seen him since. His daughter Stephanie and his son Shane has been hosting trying to keep everything under control. Thats when they hired Mike Adamle to be the General Manger for Raw...
