  1. heyy i just did that! yep, you can delete all of them. it didn't hurt my computer.

  2. Download CCleaner and have it clean your Internet cache for you. You can tell CCleaner to leave your cookies intact. If your anti-virus continues to complain about a virus in your Temporary Internet Files folder, clean the cookies as well.

Many anti-malware applications complain about tracking cookies. Tracking cookies are not really dangerous, but can be seen as an invasion of your privacy. It all depends on what you use and what you view as an invasion and what not.

  3. Yes.  It's safe to delete your temporary internet files.  The worst that will happen is that you will end up deleting some cookies that have saved usernames, passwords, or some preferences in them.  This can be an inconvenience to have to set these things up again, but it won't cause any harm.

  4. nothing happens thats why their call temporary files if you need some protection try comodo.com they offer a complete security suite free and yes they can be trusted

  5. Let your antivirus do its job automatically. There is no need for you to go searching for individual files if you have a good antivirus.

But do not immediately *delete* anything that your antivirus finds; instead have it *quarantine* (or put in its virus chest) what it finds for a period before you permanently delete it. This protects you from potential false positives.

However, If you are relying on information that you got from some "free scan", you'd be better off to disregard it and install a good (free) antivirus such as Avast:

But to answer your question, nothing happens when you delete your temp files. It's just part of cleaning house. An excellent program for cleaning up your unnecessary files is CCleaner.
