What happend to blazer and mo on 99.7 the blitz ?

obviously the station was bought but why so sudden and without warning ? and what happend to Blazer and Mo and others ?

  1. Complete format change. That always means a new morning show (and most other dayparts). As to the suddenness, that's just the way it happens in radio. The theory is: research it, decide, do it. That way the competition won't have a chance to react and you'll be fully up and running.

    If it's a big enough station, sometimes they'll have an entire new staff stashed at a local hotel practicing the new format, learning the clock and familiarizing themselves with the market and the music.

    They may "stunt" for a while. Go completely silent. Play Christmas music or all Elvis or The Beatles. While, behind the scenes, all the logos, letterhead and anything connected with the old format is gone and the new stuff is up.

    Then, BAM! They just hit the air with it and that is usually quickly followed by a marketing campaign.
