Does anyone know? It was such a good idea(from what I read) and then it just died because of those buerecrats at USA Rugby. If someone could get me a history of the league or if anyone has any idea if a new national league is being developed, that would be great.

  1. Not enough interest in the league/sport in America.

Major leagues need lot's of money, when you don't have fans coming through the gates, or people buying merchandise, or money from sponsorship then your days are numbered.

  2. it died out, i wish it didnt tho

  3. Because the USA is not a big Rugby nation. The USA is ranked somewhere around 60th in the world I think out of 100 - 150 countries. Canada doesn't have a major rugby leage that's televised either. We're ranked 13th in the world. There is a TV station called Setanta www.setanta.com. It shows nothing but Rugby Aussie rules football, soccer, Irish hurling and other unique sports to the UK, Austrailia and Newzealand. You can order it if you have direct tv apparently.
