  1. The new bankruptcy laws make it very difficult to get out of credit card debt so you will still have to pay it all back.

  2. nothing!!!! your filing for bankrupt! take me with you shopping :)

  3. if it can be proven that you did this on purpose to run up credit, then you have committed fraud. A good investigator will burn your sorry *** in a heartbeat.

  4. If you do that they may not allow you to file.  My mother filed for bankrupcty.  If you show deliberate abuse to your credit, you will be held responsible.  They will not approve your filing.

  5. I just came out of a bankruptcy and we were told that if you intentionally run up the credit cards within 12 months of filing bankruptcy then you can't file on those cards.

The first thing the bankruptcy judge asked us was "Have you used your credit cards in the last 4 months?" we don't use credit cards so the issue was moot for us.

The bankruptcy laws have changed in the past 2 years so don't file without a lawyer advising you.

  6. In some circumstances, it might be considered bankruptcy fraud and you would not be able to complete the bankruptcy.

  7. There are different types of Bankruptcy.  Some liquidate your present assets to pay your debt, whereas others are charged against future earnings.  It is not a get out of jail free card and you need to be careful.  There are lots of good faith regulations and there is a good chance your credit card debt may not be wiped clean unless you can show you can't make minimum payments, and the credit card companies make the minimum payments rather affordable....

"Tricks" like this seldom work as planned and can really s***w you over...
