What happened at the end of Open Water 2: Adrift?

The guy who's fault it was and the lady were the last ones alive, and they decided to use the plastic strip in the mask to wedge it in that square groove they tried to use before with the knife. The guy held onto the plastic, while the lady stepped up on his hands and got on the boat. She lowered the stars for him, and she went to comfort her baby. The guy didn't use the stairs, and he committed suicide because he felt so guilty. He just stayed in the water. I think the fisherman went to help the woman and her baby when he saw them on the boat standing over the dead mans body.
