Okay, so by asking this question, I take it you don't mind spoilers so...I will tell you the important parts.

***SPOILER ALERT!!!***

The Joker has both Harvey Dent and Rachel Dawes taken, while he, the Joker, was arrested.  The Joker planned to be arrested to get Lau, the mob's accountant, out of jail and deliver him to the mob.  He blew up the MCU and escaped, with Lau and forced him to take the Joker and the mob to where the mob's money was. There, the Joker burned his half, saying, "All you care about is money.  This town deserves a better class of criminal.  And I'm gonna give it to 'em.  Tell your men they work for me now, this is my city."  To which, the Chechen replied, "They won't work for a freak."  The Joker then proceeded, by saying, "FREAK? Why don't we cut you up into little pieces and feed you to your pooches, hmm?  And then we'll see how loyal a hungry dog really is!  It's not about money...it's about sending a message.  EVERYTHING BURNS!"  So that's one mobster dead, and the Joker takes his men as his own.

When the Joker had Dent and Rachel taken, he had them put in two separate warehouses on opposite ends of the city with oil drums rigged with timed explosives and told Batman that it was up to him who lives and dies.  The Joker intentionally mixed up the addresses and Batman, who thought he was on his way to save Rachel, saves Dent, who gets half of his face burned off in the explosion.  Gordon and his force went to save Rachel and failed.

The Joker goes to visit Dent in the hospital and manipulates him into becoming a villain, or Two-Face. Here's some dialogue from that scene:

JOKER: Now, I don't want there to be any hard feelings between us, Harvey.  You see, when you and uh--

DENT: RACHEL!

JOKER: Rachel were taken, I was sitting in Gordon's cage.  I didn't rig those charges.

DENT: Your men, your plan.

JOKER: Do I really look like a guy with a plan? You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars.  I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it!  I just DO things.  The mob has plans, the cops have plans, Gordon's got plans, you know?  They're schemers.  Schemers trying to control their little worlds.  I'm not a schemer.  I try to show the schemers just how pathetic their attempts to control things really are.  So when I tell you--uh, come here.  When I tell you that you and your girlfriend was nothing personal, you know that I'm telling the truth.  It's the schemers who put you where you are.  You were a schemer, you had plans, and look where that got you.  I just did what I do best.  I took your little plan and I turned it on itself.  Look what I did to this city with a few drums of gas and a couple of bullets.  You know what I noticed? Nobody panics when everything goes "according to plan."  Even if the plan is horrifying!  If tomorrow, I told the press that, like, a gangbanger would get shot or that a truckload of soldiers would be blowing up, nobody panics, because it's all "part of the plan."  But when I say that ONE little ole mayor will die...well then EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MINDS!  Introduce a little anarchy.  Upset the established order and everything becomes chaos.  I'm an agent of chaos.  Oh, and the thing about chaos...IT'S FAIR.

So Harvey Dent goes about on his personal vendetta, trying to avenge Rachel's death by killing the people he feels is responsible, including the cops that were supposed to take him and Rachel home but instead turned them over to the Joker, and the mob, who, in his opinion, are responsible for letting the Joker out of the box.  He then has Gordon's family taken to the warehouse that Rachel died in and calls Gordon there, who complies after telling his men that to set up a perimeter and wait for his orders.  Batman shows up as well and Dent tells both of them that they shouldn't have tried to "be decent men in an indecent time."  As Batman and Gordon try to persuade Dent that they were doing the right thing by acting together, Dent retaliates and asks, "Then why was I the only one who lost everything?"  Batman explains that the Joker chose Dent because he was the better of the three and, therefore, his best chance at hurting Gotham's restoration. *REMEMBER: They are in the middle of restoring order to the city after it was overrun by criminals*  Gordon apologizes and says, "Harvey, I'm sorry...for everything."  To which Dent replies, "No you're not...not yet.  But you will be.  Have you ever had to lie to the person you love most by telling them that everything's gonna be okay?  Even when you knew it wasn't?  Well you're about to know what that feels like."  So, after shooting Batman, he then takes Gordon's son and points the gun to his head saying, "Go ahead.  Tell him it's gonna be okay.  Lie. Like I did."  And before Dent could harm the boy, an injured Batman springs into action and tackle Dent over the edge of the damaged building and saves the boy.  He then falls, as Dent did.  Gordon runs down to assess the damage and tell his men to take Dent's body and tell the public he killed 5 people but before he can do so, Batman stops him and tells him to pin the murders on him saying that the city needed to believe Harvey was a hero so they could have hope that their city could be retained by electing good leaders as opposed to donning bat-suits and fighting crime themselves.  Gordon agrees and tells Batman he will hunt him.  Batman says it's what needs to happen and he could take it. So Gordon and his men begin their hunt for the Batman and Batman begins his fleeing from the law.  And they all lived miserably ever after.  The End.

well there was two boat each boat have to kill each other by mid-night or they'll explode. Batman went in the building to take down the joker. he then notice that the hostage were the clown and the clown were the hostage. so batman beat up the cops so they won't arrest the wrong person. the boat haven't blew up yet. then the batmen went up and faught the joker and he joker almost blew up both boat since it close to mid night. but the joker loss and was hanging upside down. then the comidioner got a call from that one lawyer dude. the lawyer got his family and planning to kill them base on luck, batman came in and fought the lawyer, the lawyer fall off the building and died The End

the dent guy told everyone he was batman and was arrested and the joker got out of jail and tried to kill him but the real batman saved him and the joker caught dent and the girl and put them in wearhouses with bombs and baman saved dent but not the girl then dent got mad and half of his face was burnt off and he killed three ppl cause he thought they had somethin to do with killin the girl. then dent caught the police guys family and batman saved them and he told the policeman that he killed tose three ppl cause he couldn't let dent take that blame or all he had done for gotham would be forgotten. (batman caught the joker) and the police were trying to catch batman cause they thought he was a murderer.
