What happened to British Rail Parcel service. Does it still operate?

I want to get my sons bike to London on the train. How can I do it BR used to run RED STAR does it still do so?

  2. No, it doesnt. U have to send it by post now :)

  3. Ask in the nearest station or look on the website of one of the train companies that serve your station.  You can also look here for information:  http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/

  4. No they stopped running Red Star a few years ago. You will have to try and find a courier or accompany the bikes yourself which of course will cost your fare aswell.

  6. I work for the rail and it was removed quite a while ago...mainly due to security reasons. youll have to arrange a parcel service x

  8. The mail train was removed a few years ago, and with that red star too. But try contacting the train operator who runs your local london connection, they may be able to help you get the bike there.
