It is no longer of use to the news people, "Been there done that" every news event as its peak of interest.

Zimbabwe seems to have taken over as a topical foreign report, they wont be playing us at cricket!

It was only in the news when the torch was being taken round the world. The next time will be when the Olympics occur.

Aid agencies (NGOs) are not permitted to operate inside Burma - so instead, aid/food etc is being distributed by the Burmese Army.  This is exactly how the dictatorship want it to be because this then allows them to con the people into believing that it is they who are supplying the aid.

Burma does not have nukes but North Korea does.  The focus now is on the food shortages and starvation going on in N.Korea.

It's no longer News anymore- because all the People who their Government refused to help- have all pretty much Starved to death by now... And Dead People- don't tell tales...  :(

its still there, but with the same problems, its just that other things have been in the news to worry about, but i am sure that they are still trying to come to terms with the last disaster and clearing up the dead.

I thought this the other day - I dont think its ok at all - they dont want help so what can we do - I made a donation in the very beginning but goodness knows where it went
