I wasn't in the country during Wimby, so only caught some of it. Didn't find out that Joker was out till just before the final. What happened? Can someone give me a quick rundown, I didn;'t find it online.

  1. I didn't get to watch it because NO ONE TOLD ME THEY PUT ON WIMBLEDON ON FREE-TO-AIR TV IN AUSTRALIA!

But I did get to watch the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final.

I also know that Marat Safin defeated Novak Djokovic.

    =[

    Sorry, that's all I know!

Safin is indeed a great player, but he really needs anger management if he wants to be #1 one day.

  2. Marat Safin eleminated him in the first week in straight sets

  3. I like Marat Safin too and was very pleased he put out Novak :) ! However that being said it was quite clear Djokovic was playing at the standard he can, just had a bad day i guess, nothing was working for him on court making lots and lots of errors and Safin took advantage :) ! Even in the tiebreaks during that match Novak couldnt come up with anything, even his winning shots werent working. Back to Marat he definitely has it in him to beat the best, he`s been a former #1 and knows how to win a grandslam, im just really pleased he made the semis ofcourse he lost to your beloved Federer :P which was expected, though Safin did have many break point opportunities he just couldnt convert any because Roger would hit an ace and even forced Federer to a tiebreak it just wasnt meant to be !!! I dont think Marat could have won 3 sets of Federer this year at wimbledon because Roger was playing too good, at the most he could have scrapped through and won the tiebreak !!! I thought you disappeared, im still here defending my man and getting abused by Rafa haters haha !!! I must say Nina you should have seen the wimbledon final, i know Roger lost but it was one of the best ive ever seen!!! It was soooo intense and exciting. The 4th set was a killer, Rafa had 2 championship points in the tiebreak (on his serve) and screwed it up he double faulted :( !!! I was sooo scared and nervous i couldnt watch and then Roger clinched the tiebreak after having been 5-2 down in it :( ! So went to a 5th set where neither could break Rafa did have lots of break point opportunities but again just couldnt convert, Roger`s serve was solid dam his aces !!! Eventually Rafa made the breakthrough and never made the same mistake he did in the 4th set and won the championship. It was a lovely moment i couldnt have been happier for him :) ! Both players really gave it there all, just breathtaking tennis. I have to say in the end Nadal deserved to win :P

  4. Safin defeated Djokovic 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 in the 2nd round.

  5. im glad safin is back on track after a couple of disapointing years in the past but what is holding him back is his consistensy but he had his game on at wimbledon but he still has great potential

  6. He won the first round 7 - 5, 2 - 6, 6 - 3, 6 - 0 against M. Berrer.

He got knocked out in the second round... losing to Marat Safin in staright sets: 6 - 4, 7 - 6(3), 6 - 2.

Marat Safin continued to the quater final finals until Federer stopped him in just 3 sets.
