  1. "nelabumare" got some facts mixed up...

    a) Germans were the aggresors therefore what followed (=> WW2) should be blamed on Germany    (I don't see how anyone can look at it differently)

    b) Sudeten Germans were the main excuse for Hitler to occupy Sudetenland despite the fact that Sudetenland was a part of a sovereign country (Czechoslovakia)

    c) despite of all agreements Germany/Hitler invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia after occupying Sudetenland for a couple of months

so yes, Germans were expelled from Sudetenland after WW2... but don't get me started about what Germans did there... my grandparents lived through the nightmare in Sudetenland...

I wonder how understanding Germans would be if France took a huge chunk of western Germany and invaded the rest of the country a few months later... and I guess I don't have to mention concentration/extermination camps which were set up by GERMANS all over Europe including Czechoslovakia...

So in terms of the global horror that _GERMANS_ started, I find the expulsion of Sudeten Germans a drop in an ocean of atrocities...

Here are some more links to get a better picture of what happened:

  2. The Germans were blame for evrything bad that happened to people after war.Germans lived in Sudetenland always coz its their home and it always was and is(btw its very beautiful area).

So after war they were expeled from the country and 300 000 Germans were killed!!!!

  3. Hi

Its very sad and touching story.Germans never wanted to live with Czechs(just like Slovaks never wanted to) in one country and if you think about it Sudetenland is german land.Anyway...
