What happened to Laika the russkie space dog ?

I know the dog died...but did the russians recover the doggie capsule, or is it still in orbit, or did it burn up ?

Would the dog be mummified if it was still in orbit ?

That dog is now in Tijuana living like a king, doing unspeakable things with kittens to amuse seady tourists...

I heard Laika the russkie suffocated in the capsule after it ran out of air.

Laika (which was a female of indeterminite breeding) probably died as a result of the stresses of space flight but the dog and the capsule burned up during re-entry. Laika was doomed to die from the start, a fact that outraged many people when word got out.

Laika was met by aliens using the First Contact principle and taken back to their home planet. They are still trying to work out how dogs developed space technology, but impressed by their ability to l**k their own genitals.

They suspect that dogs have enslaved a race of more dextrous and intelligent life forms to create space vehicles on their behalf.
