What happen to his speed during his fight with Marquez? Does his 147 lbs weight upon entering the ring is the factor? He looks sloppy that night. His power was there but speed is missing, what happened Freddie?

  1. Where did you get 147lbs???? Get your facts straight. Manny's official weigh in weight is 129lbs and Marquez 130lbs. If his weight is 147lbs, he have to forfeit the belt even if he wins. If you're over in the weight category that you're fighting, belt cannot be won. It will be vacant if the over-weight boxer wins.

Anybody who cannot see his speed is blind. Marquez is moving a lot that is why delivery can sometimes be a bit tricky. But speed was there, that is why Marquez got knocked down in the 3rd round and almost on the 9th or 10th round I think. Those deliveries were lightning speed. Marquez did not see it coming because of how fast it was.

  2. he watchd p**n that night,

  3. yeah michael should be the no. 2 lb-4-lb in the world. His comments are better than the fights of pacquiao. LMAO

  4. Manny may have slowed a little but he still appears to be in great shape. Its just that JMM defense was great and did not allow Manny to make use of his hand speed. He kept the distance and avoided combinations.

JMM waited on Manny's attck for the most part, allowing him to land more shots. I find it a bit less manly though to just for your opponent to come in.

Manny has the power but was too cautious to gamble on closing in since JMM is capitalizing on his mistakes. But Manny is the more aggressive during the fight. He faked and counter punched in the last rounds earning him the slim margin win over JMM. Great fight!

  5. Its possible the weight slowed him down a little or maybe like some people think manny already peaked and is slowly decending i dont know about all that but he probably weighed more than he did for any other fight he was 129 for the weigh in but by the start of the fight he was 145 thats just about welter weight , but either way manny still looked pretty good in there as well did marquez. I think people hype manny up too much most the time and over rate him i dont think he should be considered the #2 p4p fighter.

  6. haha, SIMPLY T IS STUPID, jaja, well, on my point of view, marquez should win it, im a filipino, but's its clear that marquez outwitted pacman, if there's a round 13 and 14, <which is impossible, lucky pacman> marquez could have scored the win, that KO is a factor,..over all, both men gave us a match worth the time..classic

  7. In this Fight, Manny's speed slowed down because of the Strategy of Marquez. Haven't you see his speed in the third round wherein he knockdown Marquez? Off course Marquez is a tough fighter. And one more thing his weight is not necessarily a factor. You see, let's have a side track Manny uses his heart to survive the 12 rounds while Marquez uses his brain to turn the fight to his favor. There is a slight disadvantage right? Good thing he did survive.
