  1. It'll go back down next week when America DOES wake up and come back to it's senses.

  2. Gary, Kerry was NEVER EVER 15 pts ahead of Bush.

The bounce is good news though. Thanks for the link!

  3. It may be a bump from the convention/VP pick. Out of curiosity, I'd like to see some polling data a week or two after the RNC convention to see if Obama has some real momentum going.

  4. it will go up and down... but I doubt there will be any free fall... just dropping/rising 5 points here and there...

  5. Didn't you know?  Polls only matter when the republican guy is winning.  Otherwise they're not real and you shouldn't trust them.

  6. Now...were you the one saying that "polls don't matter" a week ago?  It's a daily poll...it's going to sway daily.  Take a poll a week before the election.  That will be more accurate then the other garbage polls...until then they are irrelevance.

  7. It's all warm and fuzzy, but I'm for Obama and still say polls are useless.

  8. Just a convention bounce and not a very good one either.  I would have thunk he would have done better with all the teary eyed stories and emotions displayed.  ummm

  9. Just a small bump.  He should be way ahead in the polls after a VP pick and the DNC.  They are worried about this.  He will continue free falling next week all the way to the election, especially after the debates.  Obama is not good without teleprompters.   He stutters and cannot put two words together.   I can't wait for the debates.  That is when he clearly shows that he does not have a clue.  McCain will eat him up and spit him out.  NOBAMA '08

  10. I would've expected a bigger bump since every cable channel in North America has a camera connected to Obama's posterior. Only 6 points? He's toast. Thank Allah...

  11. Rasmussen still has them tied. "the Democrat gained a point from yesterday and now attracts 45% of the vote nationwide while John McCain earns 44%. When "leaners" are included, it’s Obama 47% and McCain 47%" I trust Rasmussen more than Gallup but I really don't trust any of them

There is always a convention bump but Barry's bump isn't very big.  The VP announcement of Joe made Barry's numbers go down.

Don't count McCain out just yet. Thank God America has time to come back to its senses! During the debates and all the "ummmmm"s come out, there will be a free-fall for Barry. He won't look presidential without a teleprompter.

  12. Without a doubt, the DNC has helped.

Plus, if his speech tonight is as exceptional as everybody's hoping, he should jump even more.

  13. you people still trust polls?

Remember any of these great Presidents

    Kerry

    Gore

    Mondale

    Dukakis?

    No?

    The polls sure do

  14. Wait till the debates start.

  15. A little pop in the polls regarding the convention. I wouldn't be waving the winning flag just yet.

  16. Don't confuse polls with the back room deals being brokered over this election I think the politicians already know who they will put in office. It is just a matter of who gets what .Polls are always wrong. Ask kresgen the mystic if you want to know the future.

  17. Wow, up during the DNC convention who woulda thunk it.  Still no real bounce overall though..

  18. it is the expected bump, but the key is why is he not where he should be historically , at this time even John Kerry, Gore were up by 15%...

So still in the margin of error is causing concern......plus it is just one poll while the average of others places him neck and neck

  19. This is really funny.  Just yesterday, Obama-haters were asking why the convention wasn't giving Obama a bounce.  What they forgot is that the polls they were citing were taken before the convention.

    For example:

"Why hasn't the convention given Obama a bump in the polls?"  http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

The DNC has yet to give Obama a "bump", why?

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  20. He is down six points; Karl Rove has falsely put out the up number. Misinformation so Obama people stop worrying.

  21. Generally you will see a gain in the polls during and shortly after the national convention.  The question is what will happen after the Republican national convention.  Also when Obama has to face McCain in the debates.  If McCain is able to paint Obama as a Far Left Liberal who believes in socialism, Obama is going to be serious trouble.

  22. Oh wait...polls don't count, LOL !
